Welcome

Darius VanSluytman is a respected member of New York's music, media and entertainment communities. An innovator on New York's electronic music scene he was a member of two seminal alternative groups during the 2000s: The Infesticons (aka The Majesticons) on celebrated UK label Big Dada (a subsidiary of Ninja Tune). He is also known for his work with No Surrender, one of the few electronic groups on the storied Afropunk Scene. 

On the business side of the fence, he was one of the Directors of Complex Magazine (Now Complex Networks) that helped make a now cultural icon a respected media brand. He also has experience in the world of music sync, as the former Marketing Director for German  independent music licensing company Soundtaxi. He has also placed his own, or client music in a number of feature films, television shows, stage, and art installation. Placements include: Showtime, VICE and Syfy. As well as work with award-winning dance companies: Doug Varone, and Joya Powell's MOPDC. 

He has recorded with some of the most respected artists of his era: Tunde Adebimpe (TV on the Radio), Mike Ladd, score composers Raz Mesinai, Costanza Francavilla, Kurt Farquhar, members of Antibalas, Rebelmatic, and others. His work has been performed internationally at leading venues and institutions including The SONAR Festival, The Whitney Museum, The Frist Museum, Central Park Summer Stage, Cully Jazz Festival, and others. He has done sound installation and performance work accompanying major showings of award-winning sculptor Afruz Amighi.
